You can track information about your events using the Events list. This list is a data table and can be used in the same way as the other data tables in your account. For information about data tables, see the chapter How information is organized in your account.

Where do I find it?

You can view your Events list by going to Features > Events.

When you hold an event, such as an adoption event, a fundraiser, or some other type of gathering, you may want to track which animals have attended those events. With the Data Management Service and the Website Service, you can quickly see a list of what events you held or are in the process of planning and all the information about them, and you can associate those animals attending each event to the event.  This becomes very helpful when you wonder, for instance, how long it's been since Big Boy was at an adoption event, or what cats attended a specific adoption event. The Data Management service is included as part of your Website Service.

For information about tracking animals which attend events, see Adding animals to Events.

Viewing your events

To view the list of events, go to Features > Events. The list of events displays. See above.

You can click the Edit icon to change the information about an event, or select several or all of the events to perform an action such as deletion. You can, as in all the other data tables, create a custom view, perhaps all past events.

The icons for this list include, from left to right:

  • Checkbox, which enables you to select one or several events to manage
  • Edit icon, which allows you to edit a particular event
  • Copy event icon, so that you can copy a previous event and edit it for the current event

As with other data tables in your account, you can create views. Note that in the example below, the view is for Past events. You can add a new view from this list by clicking the icon that looks like a spreadsheet with a plus on it next to the Views field. You can also revert to the default view by clicking the next icon, a spreadsheet with a left-pointing arrow. For more information about using data table views and creating your own custom views, see the chapter Using data table views.
