Change default location to "no"

I see that this exact question was asked back in 2018 and the answer was that it could not be done then, but may be something that will be changed in future projects.  I am wondering if it has been changed.  The question is:

There are a couple of entries that I would like to change the default setting, when adding an animal.  One is "Location Public".  The choices are Yes or No.  I would like the default to be No.  How to I do that.  Right now, the default is Yes.  


Can the default now be changed to no? Or are we still stuck with having to make another template if we want to make that change?

      Not long ago I was able to change our template's status from Available to Pending.  Go to Animals, Templates. For the template you want to change click the icon with the pencil–see pic below.   Find the field and change the value. Then Save.  Hope this helps!
