Why does Waiting On Applicant close out a form when Waiting on Home Visit, Landlord or Vet Check do not? Waiting on Applicant seems to indicate a viable form, so it's confusing to our volunteers and time consuming to search for and reopen active applications that have been closed by this status.

      Catherine,

Waiting on Applicant is thought to be a status used when the applicant will not be adopting anytime in the near future.  Here is the list of form status: About submitted forms statuses that I would share with your volunteers.

      Sincerely,

      Karen

For folks that won't be adopting in the near future, we use Cancelled or Hold.   That Waiting on Applicant means that you don't expect to hear from them any time soon is very counter intuitive.  Perhaps this could be changed to Postponed.

          Catherine,

It's certainly something we could consider adding in the future. I would recommend that you add a feature request:
