What is the difference between a Website User or Volunteer?

What is the difference between selecting Website User or Volunteer? There is not documentation as to when you would use one or the other. I am assuming that a website user would have the ability to make changes to the website once they receive user roles, so not sure why I would select that vs volunteer.

      How are you able to see what people have registered in the MY Rescue?

        When people fill out an application, you can set it up so they have to register first. They are considered website users. This registration can be bypassed. I see it as a barrier to get people to fill out applications.

        Volunteers are people you have helping you with RG, like data entry, form reviewers, etc...

          They are meant to be used for two different instances.

          A website user is for use with our website service and would be used as a potential adopter (not a volunteer). They use that login to log into the website service and can save forms as well as use the my rescue feature (https://userguide.rescuegroups.org/display/WSG/My+Rescue).

          A volunteer is an individual who volunteers for your organization and needs a login to login to RescueGroups.org. They would then be assigned different roles based on what they do for your organization (a complete list of roles can be found here: https://userguide.rescuegroups.org/display/WSG/About+roles%2C+security%2C+and+permissions)
