Your RescueGroups.org Website Service comes with a default menu to get you started. You may wish to customize this menu and reorder items on the menu.

How to reorder menu items

To reorder menu items, first create a custom menu, then follow the instructions below.

There are two ways to reorder menu items.

Reordering using the gray arrows

  1. Click the name of your menu. In this example, I've named my custom menu "CUSTOM MENU".
  2. Click the gray arrows to move items up / down to change their order or in/out to change their level.

Reorder using the drag and drop reorder tool

  1. Click the Reorder menu items icon.
  2. Drag items from the right side of your screen to the left side to add them to your menu.
  3. Drag items from the left to the right side to remove them.
  4. Drag items up/down to reorganize them.

Understanding levels

The level is the indentation of the item, where Level 1 is at the highest level, and Level 2 is a child item of Level 1.
Example:
Home (Level 1)

  • About Us (Level 2)
  • Contact Us (Level 2

  • You can change the level of a menu item by clicking on the gray arrows to move items in/out (Level 1, Level 2), and up/down (placement on the menu).

Understanding collapsible menu items

You can also set a Level 1 menu item to be collapsible.  That means that menu items below this item and at a lower level will be grouped under this Level 1 item. A collapsible item can be set to collapse by default, which means it will be collapsed when a visitor first views your web site. Note: Not all layouts support collapsible menus.
