Displaying your Online Forms with our Website Service Using the Built-in Forms Page

Our Website Service allows you to display your forms easily and quickly.  Any form you have created and enabled it is immediately available to visitors to your website.  You can read about how to enable and disable a form here: Enabling or disabling a form.   The best part about the Website Service is this is done automatically for you.  You do NOT need to make a page with your forms as enabling them automatically creates a built-in forms page for you!

You can view this built-in forms page in one of two ways:

  1. View it via opening your website and selecting the form link.
    1. Once you are logged in at RescueGroups.org go to Website > Open your Website.
    2. Using the menu select the Forms/Application Link
  2. Using the domain name to browse directly to the form URL.
    1. You can do this by using the following type of URL: https://demo3.rescuegroups.org/forms/.
In other words, the domain name of your website, for example, https://demo3.rescuegroups.org/" and then "/forms', to make "https://demo3.rescuegroups.org/forms/".
    2. Another example would be the domain "www.ohiofuzzypawz.com" and the form link would be "https://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms"

Displaying your Online Forms on a Different Page using the Website Service

Some organizations opt out of using the built-in forms page described above to instead link the forms on a page they have created.  This can be done by linking the form to a text or image on that page.   Follow the steps below to link a form to text and/or an image on your website using the RescueGroups.org Website Service.

  1. Once you are logged in at RescueGroups.org go to Website > Web page list then open the page you want by selecting the  Edit button
  2. This opens up the WYSIWYG editor for your page.  If needed, insert your image or type your text that you want the form to link to.
  3. Select your image or text that you want your form to link to (see the image below).  Then select the "Link" button.
  4. In the Link menu that pops up, use the Link List dropdown to select the online form you want the text/image to link to (see the image below).
  5. Select the Green "OK" button in the Link menu, then select "Save Content" when you get back to the WYSIWYG editor.

We have a helpful video that walks through linking items as it is in our FAQ video below.  It is question #9 and starts at 11:38.

Adding your Online Form to a Third Party Website

If your website is NOT created by using the RescueGroups.org Website Service you still can use our Online Forms Service.  In this case, you will need to add an iFrame to your website.  Please see the following article in our guide for directions: Using the online forms iFrame.
