Can I create a email sign up widget for a website not hosted by RescueGroups.org?

We would like to create a email signup ink for our website.  I see and understand how to create the widget.  But can that be used on a website that is not hosted by RescueGroups.org?

      Alana,

      To do this go to RescueGroups.org and click Login, once logged in go to Services > Email Marketing Campaigns. On this screen click Get Widget HTML. Once you made your customizations, click Generate Widget Code.

        OK, thank you.  Just to confirm, the website does not have to be hosted by RG? That was my main question

        Alana,

        The Email Marketing Service is a standalone service. You do not need to use the Website Service to use this service and can add the Widget following the instructions above. If you prefer to continue using the Website Service and all of the built in features, we can go over how to customize the look and feel with you. If you'd like to do this, please open a support ticket and we can go over this with you in more depth.
