How to merge a contact with a website user login?

I need to merge a website user login with a separate contact.  However, there is no contact for the login.  How can I do this?

      When a website user creates an account before they login there is a period in which no contact is created for that login (see image below).  You can see the "Contact" field is blank. Note this is off an actual user account, so images have been blurred for privacy.



      Once that individual logs in, a contact is created for that login (see the 1st image below).  You can see the individual went from "Never" under the last login to have logged in in the image below.  Now, that contact can be merged with any contact in your list (see second image below).
