Is there any plan to add bar code reader support?  I would love to be able to scan microchips for greater accuracy.  We are also looking to purchase inventory labels for our inventory items and they can be purchased with bar codes on them.  This would make tracking items much easier and more efficient.  If so, it would also be helpful if it the inventory could be added to the mobile app.

Thanks,

Marc

We use a bar code reader with Rescue groups all the time. Just put your curser in the microchip number field and scan the bar code. It will save the document.

The Rescuegroups mobile app has this feature.  We use it capture the chip numbers direct from our vet records.  To use go to animal entry in mobile app find "Microchip number" field, press and hold. When popup appears select camera.  If barcode scanner is installed it starts.

I would think if you have a physical barcode reader attached to a desktop you should also be able to place the cursor in animal record "Microchip Number" and use the scanner to populate the field.
