Can the Adoption Date be added to the pet automatically?

We like to sort our adoptions by the date of the adoption.  Why can't that date just be added to the database automatically?

      You have to use the Intake/Outcome options in order to see alot more information. Because animals can pass away, transfer out - there are other options to just adoption. The Intake/Outcome entry is redundant but once it's done you are able to get alot more information.
