How to use FTP data and put into RescueGroups.org template (Wordpress)?

So I have an FTP account with public animal data. I have a template that searches the data and shows the results based on distance/zip code etc. However I have no clue how to link the FTP data to the template. I have had a suggestion to make the JSON into a string but I don't understand what that means. Can anyone provide detailed instructions and/or code?

      Prangon,

      I'm assuming that you have a public Wordpress website and you want to add an adoptable pet search?  I'm sorry, but we don't have much experience with Wordpress.  The only suggestion we have is to use the Wordpress plugin that was created by a volunteer:

      http://stash.rescuegroups.org/projects/CM/repos/bderstine-wordpress-toolkit-plugin-v1/browse

      If you need help generated a Toolkit key to use with the plugin please let us know by contacting support: https://support.rescuegroups.org.

      Otherwise, you would probably need to import the public data you downloaded from your FTP account and create your own plugin for Wordpress to display the data.
