I am seeing multiple submissions / applications from the same person.  How can I prevent someone from applying multiple times?

Your visitors may submit an application or online form multiples times.  This could happen because they use their browser's back button and click the Submit button multiple times.

To prevent someone from submitting the same application multiple times you can set the option on the Online Form for Allow multiple submissions by one user? to No.

The option can be found under the individual Online Forms on the Features > Online Forms page.

It's important to note that this feature will only work when the visitor is logged in – that is how the system knows if the person has already submitted the form.  If the visitor is not logged in they will always be able to submit the Online Form multiple times.

To require your visitors to login before submitted an application you should set the Allow unregistered users to submit this form? setting to Yes.

Also, there is an enhancement request related to a web browser issue that might cause some users to submit an Online Form multiple times:

CMTY-187 - User submits multiple Online Forms because they cannot see success message Open
