I'm wondering if you might be able to use the Waiting Lists feature? I'm not sure if it exactly meets your need, but you could create a Waiting List using the breed, and then add the Contacts to the Waiting List. That should do it.

Hi - i have several potential adopters that are looking for a specific animal type. I would like to be able to create a report with the names/email/ and animal type (dog/cat and breed) so i can look for animals that meet that criterion. The info is in their adopton application, i just don't know how to mine the data.
