Currently only the person who entered a reminder receives the reminder. It would be useful to have the ability to assign a group to a reminder to multiple people receive it.

Yes, because the person putting in the reminder is not necessarily the person who needs to be reminded.

We definitely want to be able to designate 2-3 people to receive reminder notices. First, the person who enters the reminder is not necessarily the one who needs to receive the reminder.  Second, the person who receives the reminder may not be able to receive the reminder (or do something about it) because he or she is on vacation, out of the country, in the hospital, etc.  Third, the person receiving the reminder may no longer be with the rescue by the time the reminder is issued (e.g., annual vaccines).  Fourth, the person receiving the reminder may be overwhelmed by other things; sharing the reminder means it is more likely to be acted upon promptly.

This is especially essential when doing your initial rollout.  Data Entry is not usually done by the person needing the reminder and we also have a Foster-to-Adopt Coordinator that needs to stay on top of dogs that don't have a finalized adoption due to our organization making sure all shots/preventatives and spay/neuter done when a puppy is adopted.  The rollout is a huge undertaking for us but we are loving the service.  Thanks, RG!

We have an open Improvement Request to add the ability to select users to send Journal Entry reminders to in our issues tracking system known as JIRA.  You can see that request here:

CMTY-164 - Select who will receive a journal entry alert Open

If you would like to watch, comment, or vote on the Improvement Request, you can log in to JIRA using the same username and password that you use for this Question and Answer system.  If you do not have a username and password, you can request that here:  Sign Up for Access to UserGuide, JIRA, and Stash
