I would like this to include not only date received but date due with the ability to run reports so up coming required vaccines, etc.. could be tracked and fostered notified.

We have added a new field to Journal Entries called Due Date.  You can run a report by Due Date.

For future reference, this request is available in the Issue located here:

I'm glad to know that this is in the works, but do you know if there's a time frame yet on when we can expect this to happen? There's no way to know without a LOT of manual searching and process of elimination which animals are due for a vaccine using your database.

      Thanks!

Brittany, thanks for your comments -- we do not have an ETA at this time for this improvement.

This feature has now been added - sort of. In the reports tab, Animal Journal Upcoming Reminders. The only issue our group has is that once reminders are sent out via email to the person who put them in, the date in the reminder field is erased. Once those emails go out, the reminder will no longer show up on a report because it not longer exists. We've asked to make the dates stay until manually removed so we can generate reports that show all upcoming and overdue vaccines etc. We would then have to go in and change the reminder date along with adding a new journal entry, but that is preferable to not having the items show up in a report once their due date passes.
