Service Note

The only setting available in the Data Management Service is the ability to disable the suggestion for using the Adoptions feature. All of the listed settings are available in the Website Service.

The settings pertaining to animal adoptions are explained below.

Show a reminder to use the Adoptions feature when changing an animal's status to "Adopted."

When you enable this setting, whenever a volunteer marks an animal’s status as adopted without using the Adoptions feature, a browser message will pop up with a reminder to use that feature.  You can disable the popup by clicking the No button.  Using the Adoptions feature helps your organization to better track adoptions and returns, however, if you do not use that feature, you may want to disable the reminder.

Show an "Application Pending" message on public pages for animals when applicable.

When you enable this option, if an application is pending on an animal, a message will appear on that animal's detail web page notifying the reader that an application is pending.  This warns a potential applicant that they may not be first in line to be approved.

Show an "apply anyway" message on public pages for animals when applicable.

Enabling this setting urges a potential applicant to apply for an animal even if another application is pending.  This message will only appear when an application is pending on an animal.

Prevent applications from being submitted for animals with a pending application.

With this setting enabled, potential applicants cannot apply for those animals with pending applications.
