_Importing_animal_data_from_Animal_Shelter_Manager_(ASM)_Content_v1

To upload animal data from Animal Shelter Manager to RescueGroups.org, follow these instructions::

1. Sign up for an account with RescueGroups.org if you don't already have one. You can do that on the RescueGroups.org website: http://www.rescuegroups.org. Click the Sign Up link from the top menu bar and fill out the information on the form.
   
   
    
2. After your account is created, create an FTP account.  Please see the FTP User Guide article for additional information about creating an FTP account.
   
   1. Log in to your account at https://rescuegroups.org.
   2. Go to Services > FTP Account.  
3. Create an import for your data from ASM by following the instructions below.  See the Import Accounts User Guide article for additional information about adding an Import Account.
   1. Log in to your account at https://rescuegroups.org.
   2. Go to Animals > Imports.
   3. Click Add an Import Account.
   4. Select Animal Shelter Manager (ASM) for Configuration Type.

   5. Enter the File Name that ASM will be uploading (which is typically pets.csv).

      NOTE

      We recommend that you enter your email address so that you can be alerted concerning import errors.

   6. Click Save Import Account.
4. Configure the ASM upload according to the vendor instructions.  Use the FTP account information for the upload.  If you need help configuring ASM please contact ASM support.
