Volunteers begin as contacts. When a user logs into RescueGroups.org and creates an account on your website for the first time, you may have added them automatically as a contact (this is an option for you on your website). Here are some things you can do:
- Ask potential volunteers to fill out an online form, such as a volunteer or a foster form
- Give your volunteers access to certain tasks, such as adding animals
- Add your volunteers to a group of contacts called, for instance, "Volunteers" or "Fosters" so that you can easily find the group you need
- Keep track of what your volunteers do for you on the website
- Reactivate their account if they were removed for inactivity
- Set an option to have them receive a text or email when an application is filled out
