I Have several users that we have created rolls for and they are not available to be selected in any drop down lists.  We have verified that they have the same roles as others who are available in the assigned drop down list.

Please help.

    December,

Be sure to check that their contact record is also in the correct Contact Group as well. An example of this would be Caretaker/Foster. If you have additional questions, please be sure to open a support ticket so we can assist you further.

    Warmly,

    Michelle

I had a similar issue and added the contact to the volunteer group as they were already a part of the caretaker/foster group.  Is there a wiki page that explains what groups are needed to go with which roles?  I missed it when I was looking at the page: About Roles - Security and Permissions

        Eric,

Each service is a little different, so you would also want to check the User Guide that corresponds with your level of service. I don't believe Contact Group information included in the Getting Started Guide.

Contact Groups work a bit different than granting permissions to a User Login. For example, a User Login with Roles/Permissions will allow a volunteer to login and perform tasks in your RescueGroups.org account.

Whereas, when editing a contact and ticking a box under Groups such as Caretaker/Foster, will allow you to select that contact on some of the drop downs such as the "Foster" drop down on an animal. Here's more on Contact Groups: About contact groups

If there are any contacts that are not appearing on a drop-down, it's also possible that the contact has been "Inactivated". Some volunteers are only seasonal, so inactivating a contact is a quick way to reduce the contacts listed for some drop-downs such as Caretaker/Foster. Here's more on this topic: Inactivating a contact

If you have any contacts that are "Active", have the correct Contact Group selected, and are not appearing in one of your drop-down lists, please open a support ticket so we can assist you further. https://rescuegroups.org/support/

        Warmly,

        Michelle
