How do I prevent people from submitting an application for a dog with an adoption pending?

With the RescueGroups.org website service we leave the animal status "Available" and use the "Adoption Pending" in the Administrative Information section. How do we prevent applicants from submitting an application for this animal?

      You can prevent applicants from applying for animals with an adoption pending my going to Animals > Adoptions > Settings.

      Under Prevent applications from being submitted for animals with a pending application, select Yes and click Save.
