What is the difference between the status field: Foster, and the Administrative field:Needs Foster in the animal page?

And what is 'Available to foster' in the toolkit

How do these all relate to each other? I notice the administrative status yes/no/unknown field affects whether the animal shows up using the toolkit or not.

Ideally we would want to be able to show animals that are in Foster and available for adoption with one toolkit (available to public on our website), and then also animals that need foster care with another (which would likely only available to our group of vetted fosterers on a hidden web page).

Which options on the animal pages and toolkit fields would I use to accomplish these two sets of results?

      Melissa,

The features you've mentioned work a bit differently depending upon the level of service you have.

Here's more on Animal Statuses: Managing animal status

With your Toolkit, you may prefer to use the status "Available for Adoption", and use the data base field "Needs a Foster" set to "Yes" in the Administrative Information section. You can then add a filter to your toolkit to display only animals that have "Need a Foster" set to "Yes".

If you need additional assistance for your particular Toolkit, please open a support ticket.

      Warmly,

      Michelle
