I currently use Gmail (or Hotmail, yahoo etc.) for my organization.  However, I see you have email services.  What benefit would singing up for these services give me?  How do they work?

Our Email Hosting service provides two different methods to use email, which are outlined below:

      1. Standard Method (using email directly)
The normal method is to set up a mailbox for each email address so that you will have your own unique inbox where you can send, receive and manage your email. You can access this mailbox online or using an email client application (like Outlook, or your iPhone). Depending on how you manage your emails, an email mailbox may take storage space on our hosting servers. Our Email Hosting service comes with several levels of storage at different price levels (see link below).

      2. Alternate Method (email forwarding)
The alternate method is to use an email forwarder. Email forwarders allow you to automatically direct incoming email messages to another existing email address (for example, your Gmail address like example@gmail.com), but you cannot send emails from this forwarder email address using this method. Forwarders are always free as they do not take storage space.

Emails that utilize your organization's own domain can provide a more professional experience to your website visitors and volunteers. Additionally, Gmail and other third-party email service providers are creating more stringent DMARC policies, which is an email-validation system designed to detect and prevent email spoofing. Gmail may choose to determine that emails that are sent on your behalf from RescueGroups.org to your volunteers and website visitors are being spoofed, as they are not sent from Gmail servers. Using emails from your own domain avoids this issue. Below is a link on how you can add our email services to your account:
