how do I sign up for a pet point account and what is it? I have already registered for an account with Petfinder

    Krista,

    We think you may have meant the Pet Portal, or Pet adoption portal as Petpoint is not associated with any RescueGroups.org services. Our Pet Adoption Portal allows users to export your animal information to hundreds of partner sites that you choose.  You can find more information about the Pet Adoption Portal here: https://rescuegroups.org/services/ and how to sign up here: https://rescuegroups.org/sign-up/.  

    As far as Petfinder, we also export animal information in our Pet Adoption Portal to Petfinder as well.  You can read about how to set up exports to Petfinder in our Pet Adoption Portal in our Userguide here: Exporting animal data to Petfinder.

      We list pets with hundreds of adoption sites.  Petfinder is most certainly one of them, you may have read about Adopt-a-Pet as well?  You can read more about  exports in the Pet Adoption Portal here: About Animal Exports.  This will walk you through all you need to know about exports and how to enable them.  If you have account-specific questions please open a support ticket so we can further help: https://rescuegroups.org/support/.

        Thanks Karen I had thought there was another referral cross listing group like Petfinder when I filled out the application for the website and when I went back to look at it I thought the second one said Petpoint must have read it wrong.  So if I have an account with Petfinder and use your Pet Adoption Portal that is all I need, correct? Thanks...we are getting there..pretty close to going live on our website YAY!
