Can you merge duplicate contacts?

I was looking for a way to search for duplicate contacts so I can merge them.  I found a thread from 2015 about the issue.  Was anything put in place since then to allow for this type of search?

I did find the information about how to merge duplicate users.  Nice feature!!  The contact I want to merge are not users, however.

    Deborah,

    Just like merging users, you can scroll through your contact list and select the box next to duplicate names.  Then, in the drop-down action menu select merge.  More on this process in our guide here: Merging duplicate contacts,
