I want help enhancing a page on my website, but I don't want to give this person access to the entire site.  Please advise how to do. thanks

Here is a link to all possible permissions.  Depending on what you mean by "enhancing page" perhaps media coordinator or Look and Feel Admin

No, you are not the first one I just wasn't clear what you mean.  Sorry about the broken link.

    Hi Sharon,

You can give a combination of roles without giving Site Admin access.

    • Volunteer
    • Look and Feel Admin
    • Content Admin
    • Media Manager

If you would like them to be able to help with other features of the website you may also want to give them the following roles:

    • Shop Admin
    • News Admin
    • Event Admin
    • Doc Admin
    • Animal Admin

If you have further questions, or questions more specific to your own organization's needs, please feel free to open a support ticket and we will help you.

    Thanks,

    Michelle

a web admin role so a website developer can work on the website would be very nice.  Updating HTML and CSS shouldn't require admin privileges on nearly every other part of RG.

        Gary,

If you ran into an issue with the permissions listed above, please open a support ticket so we can verify there isn't an additional issue.

        Gary,

Thank you for helping improve RescueGroups.org!

Here's how to add a feature request: How can I submit a feature request or idea for an improvement to the RescueGroups.org services?

        Warmly,

        Michelle

      "page not found" on link

I have a volunteer who has offered to update, add info/content to our community cat page.  I don't want her to have access to the entire website via Site Admin security role.  There are Manager roles for other functions.  Why not "Site Manager"?

Site Admin:  Includes all permissions in addition to administer users, layout, custom pages, and can manage other RescueGroups.org Services

I don't want her to manage other services, add users, change permissions. Just work on the website content.  I can't be the first person who needs this.

        Sharyn,

This sounds account specific, please open a support ticket and be sure to provide additional details such as the user's login, and email address.
