What is the benefit of having people register on my website?

I have the RescueGroups.org Website Service, and there are links on the menu My Rescue, Login, and Register.  What is the benefit of having people register on my website?

      I use the Volunteers and Boardmembers page to keep our various groups on updated general information that I want them to have but I don't want available to my general public adopters.  Tips on adoptions, medical, and or just information for our volunteers is just there.  That way all the info is at their finger tips and I don't have to answer basic quesitons all the time.  


      Adopters can also leave updates for their pets.

        The My Rescue feature allows your visitors to customize their preferences with your web site. It also will remember the user's Favorite Animals and Favorite Breeds as well as the Forms they have started or submitted.

        You can also choose to disable the My Rescue feature on the animal pages and the menu.
