In a previous question, I asked what countries other than the US does this http json API search in.  Andie said, "RescueGroups.org service is available only in US and Canadian postal codes, so the API will only return data from those countries."

When I run a search with a US 5 digit zip code it works fine, but when I use a Canadian zip code it doesn't work.  Am I missing something?  I googled some Canadian zip codes online and for testing purposes, tried "L4T" and "T2X1V4".  Neither of these worked.

Is there a special format the Canadian zip code needs to be in or is there need to be other fields in addition to the Canadian zip code?

      Hi Angelina!

So, using Mississauga, ON as an example, the zip code would be L4Y 1A6.  We follow the standardized format of A1A 1A1, where A is a letter and 1 is a digit, with a space separating the third and fourth characters.

Let me know if that helps!

        Hi Andie,

Do you have to keep the space in the Canadian zip code when doing the search or can you do it both ways (with and without the space)?

        Thank you.

You will need all 6 characters and the space.  It has to match the format or you are likely to get a validation error.

        Ok.  Thank you!
