Is anyone using Tableau Public for reporting?

Wondering if anyone is using Tableau Public for reporting and if so have you found a way to link to the data from various reports rather than needing to run a report, save it to excel or csv and then import it into Tableau?

      Hi Kathy,

      This is a great question for the community.  My understanding of Tableau is that the data does need to be in Excel or CSV for import, but it would be interesting to see if anyone else from the community has found a way to automate that workflow.
