I have the same question, if someone hasn't submitted an adoption application and I add them on the animal's page, save them as a contact, it would be great if there was a field in the contact information that was for "animal." That way they would be cross referenced through both the animal and the contact. Not sure how hard it would be to do that but it would sure help.

Jenny,
You said you wanted to link potential adopters to an animal – which you could do if they have a Submitted Form for that pet. Each animal has a Submitted Forms link that will show all applications for that pet, and each Contact has a Submitted Forms link that would show each of their applications.
Other than that, there is just the fields that you can select Contacts for on an animal:
Foster/Caretaker
Owner
Received FromI would not recommend using those contact fields for this purpose.
The other option might be to use the Notes field on the Animal, and the Comment field on the Contacts. But that is a free-form text field not a Contact select list.
Hope that helps,
Richard

I would like to add contacts (potential adopters) interested in certain animals, but be able to see them when viewing the animal. Is this possible? Essentially, is there a way to connect a contact to an animal that is not a caretaker or an owner? Ideally we would be able to link a contact to multiple animals and an animal would be able to have multiple contacts as well.
