How do I use the inventory feature?

When I add to inventory, it lists each individual pill as a separate entry.  Also, does it deduct inventory when we administer meds?

      I think the best way to track how many doses of a medication you have on hand would be to use one Inventory item for the pill/bottle/container and then put the remaining doses in the Description of that inventory item.

      The inventory items are not automatically changed or updated by quantity.
