Nancy, below is updated information for how you can manage microchip registrations yourself.
- First you would want to have the microchip cleared from the registry. Please contact the registry directly to have that cleared.
After you have ensured that the chip has been removed from the registry, you can go back to Animals > Microchip Registrations and you'll note the checkbox next to the microchip registration. If you click that box, you can then select Delete from the dropdown list above the chips.
We always caution users when removing the chips because if they are still in the registry, you will get an error when the chip number gets re-entered.
Thanks,
-Michelle

Nancy,
You can open a support ticket and we'll remove the current registration so you can re-register the microchip.
Thanks,
Richard

We got a dog returned, and re-adopted by someone else. Freepetchipregistry.com has taken the old owner off for me, and they told me I can now register the chip with the new owner. When I do the adoption for the new owner, it says the microchip registration is done or is pending. How should I be doing this?
