What is the advantage to taking the extra steps to do "intake" and "outcome", when we enter an animal in, and when we do an adoption or transfer, etc? I know the Intake asks for a little more info (location found, who picked up the animal, etc), but I don't see any additional information being asked for, when doing an Outcome. Just wondering.

The Intakes and Outcomes feature is a more advanced feature of our Data Management service. The Outcome actually tracks additional information to the Adoption itself. So, it actually works kind of in the other direction – when you add an Outcome you can create an Adoption.

Why doesn't an outcome get generated when an animal is adopted?
