Should I use the relative file path "pictures/image.jpg" when the data files are imported into /import/?  I have tried various combinations and the pictures don't seem to be into the animal

I meant to say that the pictures are not being imported no matter what I do.  Thx

are you trying to upload pictures for the dog's profile or just save them as files in the database?

I am attempting to import the records into our database.  We are new to RescueGroups and want to preserve our existing data.  Using Animal Imports.

I worked with Marie in support to help her resolve this question and wanted to add more information here for other users. In this case, Marie was uploading images to her FTP directory and trying to specify those images for use when adding animal records through her Import Account.

When organizations want to upload images to use with an Import Account, they should upload images to the import/pictures directory in their FTP account. Then, the photo fields in the import file would simply include the image filename, without a folder or path specified. Here's more information about FTP accounts in our user guide:

Uploading data to your FTP account

    Hope this helps!

      Hi Marie,

You will need to include the URL where the image is found.

You may find our guide on supported animal fields helpful: Supported animal import fields
As well as this guide with the sample animal data file: Using the sample animal data file

If you need further assistance let me kindly ask you to open a support ticket so we can take a look more closely at your specific circumstances:  https://rescuegroups.org/support/

      Sincerely,
      Karen
