It sounds like there was some confusion about our import process. We do not have the ability to continually add animals to Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet. We can do a one-time import but not continual imports. If you'd like a list of what software we can add animals continuously from that can be found here:

What most organizations do is do a one-time import of animals from Adopt-a-Pet or Petfinder so their pet list is up-to-date. Then they set up exports from our software to those sites. That means they can add animals to RescueGroups.org and we can send pets from our software to Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet and any other sites checked green under the Animals > Exports list. If that sounds like the steps you would like to take please be aware our FTP exports (Petfinder/Adopt-a-Pet) are special in that they require configuration. To be clear, in order to export your pets from RescueGroups.org most organizations allow us to set up and create accounts for you automatically. In fact, if you go to Animals > Exports then you will see every site with a green check is being sent your animal information. So, you will note there are only 2 exports that require configuration in order to upload in your export list; Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet. Both FTP Exports require a basic 3 step process to set up (Note you must have accounts set up with those sites):
1. You must request information from Petfinder/Adopt-a-Pet and then either forward us here at support that information or it will be automatically sent. There are links below with guides that will walk you through the specifics.
2. We here at support will configure the exports for you and then email you to let you know it has been completed.
3. A Site Admin from your organization will have to enable the exports. Below I have copied links on how to set up exports to Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet.

Hi. I logged into our pages on your site and find that the list is out of date. I thought that your group collected information from Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet and kept our animals updated in that way. Are we supposed to manually update/change information on your site?
