Brittany,
Another way would be to create a custom View on the Animals page. You can add the Animals: Foster field to the View.
You could filter by Animals: Status and also by Animals: Foster, or you can just use the Search feature on the Data Table.
If you also sort the Data Table by Foster you would effectively have the same thing as the report I mentioned above.
Here's a User Guide article on creating custom Views: How to create a custom data table view.

OK thanks. That's how we had to do it in our old database system, but I was hoping that since we can track foster homes in "contacts" and view their animals, there would be an easy way for me to view their current animals without running a whole report.

Brittany,
I believe the best way to do this is to use the Animals with Foster report. You can find it under Reports > Report List.
By default it will group the report by foster.
You could also do the same thing with a custom Animals report if you grouped by Foster, and added this filter:
- Animal Status equals Available
Hope that helps!

It would be helpful if I could sort a contact's fosters by status, so that I could choose to view only adoptable animals with a certain contact. In the contacts "fosters" section, I tried to add a data table view to include the animal status so that I could then filter by that, but it doesn't allow you to add that.
