Hello,

How do I assign access to my foster parents so that they can post our available cats/kittens on the site, please?  I cannot seem to find the method.

      Hi Laura,
      Thanks for your question.  There are two steps to this process, outlined below.

      [1. Create or open their user login accounts]

      First, you will need to see if your fosters/volunteers have user login accounts.  If so, you simply need to open them up.  If not, you will need to create user login accounts for them so they can access the software.  I’ve linked two guides below on how to do create user login account, depending on if they are listed in your contacts or not.

      [2. Add Roles to the User Login account to allow them to access the software]

      Once you have their user logins created or opened, you need to add roles to the account to allow them to access the software.  At a minimum, they need the base level “volunteer” role, although generally, most individuals will need more roles than that.  Most commonly Animal Add or Animal Admin, as well as Contacts, Add or Admin as well as Reports.  However, you will want to review the list of Roles on the link below and add the volunteer role as well as any others you desire.

      Once your volunteers have logins and roles they will be able to access RescueGroups.org and manage their animals.  The guide below has links on Adding, updating, deleting animal information for reference.
