Is there a way to include a comment in with the Rescuegroups built-in snippet for the Paypal donate button?  So we know if they are donating for something specific.  I can see where I could create the code in Paypal and add it as a custom snippet, but frankly Paypal's documentation on the process is a bit confusing.  It would be nice if it was incorporated in with the Rescue Groups built-in code snippet.

Thanks,

Stacey

      Stacey,

While the built-in PayPal button cannot be customized, it's very easy to do this in PayPal when you create a Donate button. The information below is just to give you a place to start and we cannot guarantee this information will remain up to date nor provide support for their service. Always consult their user guide for assistance.

As of this writing, you can create a custom donate button under Pay & Get Paid > PayPal Buttons.

You can choose to add a description for that button in the "Your purpose" field. When a donation comes in, that will let you know which button the person used on your website.

Alternatively, you can select Yes or No for the following:

"Let donors choose specific programs for their donation

Program 1 will always be the default. You can have up to 10 programs."

Once you've created your custom button, you can add it to your website via a Custom Code Snippet and place the code snippet with your custom PayPal button on your web page.

If you would like to add a feature request for additional customizability for the built in PayPal button, you can do so by adding a feature request here: How can I submit a feature request or idea for an improvement to the RescueGroups.org services?

      Warmly,

      Michelle
