Sharon,
It sounds like you are trying to pull up all the fosters and volunteers in a group. You can go to Contacts > Groups then hit the link under members (in the image example, the Adopter group would be "8") and that will take you to a list of all members of that group.
Please note that the interface orders cannot be changed at this time.
It's certainly something we could consider adding in the future. I would recommend that you add a feature request in our Jira tracking system as described in the article below:

When looking at the contacts page, there is a list on the left side scrolling down you come to groups, it comes up with all the roles when I click on foster it comes up with the name then asks business and you can answer yes or no.. I want to be able to do as the last interface allowed was that you had a contact list for volunteers and fosters I could pull up all the fosters on that list...how do I get this set up?
