The difference you noted is due to the fact that the animal record displays the contact name of a user while the History tab provides the username (and a direct link to the user account). The contact name of a user account is controlled by the user only (a Site Admin cannot edit it)
Please note, only the user themselves can change their contact name by logging in and going to My Settings:

So, the two different names are actually the same user. The EXAMPLE1 user account has the contact name of EXAMPLE2.Add your comment...
We have been noticing that the "created on" and "updated by" fields in specific dogs records are not matching correctly. For example, it says that his record was created by and updated by EXAMPLE1, but when you look at the "History" option, it shows the updates were done by EXAMPLE2...which they actually were. Can you tell us why there is a discrepancy?
