There are several ways you can run a report on your adopted pets.  However, depending on the RescueGroups.org features you are using, only certain reporting methods may be available to you.

What is the Adoptions feature

RescueGroups.org provides an Adoptions feature to help you track your adoptions.  This feature is available from the Animals menu in your Manage account.

If you have been using the Adoptions feature

If you are using the RescueGroups.org Adoptions feature, you should use the Adoptions report.  You can find that report by going to Reports > Reports List and looking in the Animals section.

The Adoptions report will ask you for a Start Date and End Date for the report.  That way, you can run a report for all adoptions in 2013, or between 1/1/2013 and 6/30/2013, etc.

If you have not been using the Adoptions feature

If you have not been using the Adoptions feature, you will need to run a custom report on Animals, using the animal's Adopted Date field for the report.

You must use the Adopted Date for each animal in order to report on adopted animals with this method.

To create a custom report for adoptions, follow these steps. For more information about reports, see the chapter About Reports.

  1. Go to Reports > Create a Custom Report.
  2. Select Animals from the drop-down list.
  3. Click Next Step.
  4. Select the check box next to the fields you want to include on the report (ex., Name and Adopted Date).
  5. Click Next Step.
  6. In the Filters section, click Add a Filter.
  7. From the Field drop-down list select Adopted Date.
  8. From the Operation field select More Than.
  9. Enter the date that is one day less than the date range you want for the report.
  10. Enter the date in the Criteria field (or click the Calendar icon and select the date).
  11. Select the Add Another checkbox.
  12. Click Save View Filter.
  13. From the Field drop-down list and select Adopted Date.
  14. From the Operation field select Less Than.
  15. Enter the date that is one day more than the date range you want for the report.
  16. Enter the date in the Criteria field (or click the Calendar icon and select the date).
  17. Select the Add Another checkbox.
  18. Click Save View Filter.
  19. Click Run Report.
