I have the name of the adopter but don't know the name of the dog she adopted.  Is there something I am missing in the reports or somewhere else.  I have all my adopters listed as contacts.  But those contacts are not attached to the pets that they adopted.

Thanks for helping out!

I actually was able to answer my own question.  After looking further I was able to create my own report from animals which included owners. I know have what I need.  Before I was trying to create a report using the term adopted.  Had to change it to owner and was successful.  It's good to know there is a community that is ready to help with questions.  Thank you!

Crystal, when you the the adoption on RG, you have to enter in who adopted the pet.  It's a mandatory part of doing the adoption on RG.  Are you entering adoptions on RG?

The adopter will then be there in the animal's information.  You can also generate a list of adoptions from Contacts.  It's an option in the list of drop downs.

The adopter will also be in the report that is generated when you select Adoptions from the reports list.

Patty, thank you so much for the quick response!

I am entering adopter information on the pet page of RG.  Under adoption options.  Clicking on the green plus and adding owners information.  The owner's name shows on the pets page.

When I search my contacts i find this person is an adopter and all their contact information but not which dog they adopted.

I have a adopter who reached out with just pictures of their dog.  Didn't say the name of the dog.  I wanted to be able to respond something like thanks for sharing ____ pictures.

I don't see a pre made adoption report.

We are using the free version could that be why?

Thanks again for your quick response.  It helps to know someone is able to answer questions big or small.

            Crystal,

For any contact record, there should be links at the top of each one, including Adoptions (also Calls, Campaigns, Submitted Forms, Email History, Files, Fosters, and the list goes on). If I see a contact's record has a link that looks like Adoptions (1), then I know they've adopted one dog and if I click on that I can see which dog. You may be correct that this doesn't show up in the free version...I'm not sure because my org pays the yearly fee.

Right, I don't have the adoption link at the top in the free version.  I do have some links but none are associated with the pet they adopted.  I have it figured out now.  Just have to run the report from the animals side including owners.
