I'm able to upload a picture with the addPictureUrl action, but I'd also like to be able to change that photo's url if the user updates the photo, rather than add another photo to the animal's profile. My hunch says it might be possible using the mediaID of the photo? But I don't see an action that takes both the mediaID and a url in the docs. Alternatively, is there a way to delete an animal's photo? I'd be very grateful for anything pointing me in the right direction with this. Thanks!

We don't allow updating or changing existing pictures.  There's too many opportunities that a change like that would not be detected by the adoption listing websites (especially in the cases where the picture URL stays the same).

If you want to change an animal's pictures you can add the new picture and then reorder the pictures, or delete existing pictures.

However, I noticed that there doesn't seem to be an API action for deleting a picture or animal media.  I've created the Issue shown below so we can get that resolved.

CMTY-180 - API does not provide a way to delete animal media/pictures Open

Hi Richard, thanks for the quick reply. I'll add and reorder for the moment. Thanks for making a feature request, I'd definitely prefer being able to clean up an animal's photos.
